12 hours of sleep!!

Brian seems in awesome spirits after a huge dinner and 12 big hours of sleep. He never sleeps 12 hours. He feels extrememly confident after sleeping for 4 hours the previous evening at 7900m(26000 ft) from 745 until 1145 before flying (moving fast) back down to ABC. Brian said, and I quote "we slept in true alpinist form in our jacket and pants without sleeping bags." Seriously? Wow! Apparently they discovered a missing(stolen) stove and took out their anger on the mountain by climbing to camp 3 (7900m) with 45 pounds of gear each.

A big indicator of successful acclimization can be seen in their ability to get some shuteye in the most difficult situation they have ever been in. Brian slept four strong hours with Justin just behind him. They awoke and kicked it in high gear back down. After another long hike they are in BC looking to shoot again in 6-10 days. Brian refused to give that definite of an answer, but that seems to be what he was thinking. I added this photo to spice things up a bit even though it is not Everest. It is actually Mt Ranier.

Katie and Rachel send their luv and wish all of you the best and everyone is so thankful for your comments and prayers. Halle Macrae actually forwarded several of your comments onto the boys today as well so keep em comin!!

The next step is on their Friday when they will head back to ABC for another go. More info coming soon.

PS Brian was very happy to find out that the Cavs have a great chance to reach the East Finals tomorrow.
