LUNGevity Fundraiser and Other Matters
Namaste,
Justin here to let people know we have a LUNGevity Everest Expedition 2007 fundraiser that will be held at ROAD34 in Fort Collins February 28th. Lots of fun stuff including live music, silent/not so silent auction, raffels, and other surprises as well.
Would also like to correct Brian's last post. The boots I am using and can be seen wearing around town on occasion are the Asolo Manasalus and they are sooooooo nice.
Other matters of note: LIFE IS GOOD LIVE IT TO THE FULLEST!!!! Lots of gear coming in. Brian is picking up a tent this weekend, his boots have also arrived, and we may be getting a laptop to use at the lower camps. We will be using another expeditons internet while we are up there so we should be keep'n ya'll posted on our progress. One last thing, we have another adventerous soul coming along for the Island Peak climb which Brian and I will be leading from March 20th to April 5th in the Khumbu region of Nepal. My Friend Tod Dwyer is now on board making it a party of five. Four of which hope to summit Island Peak 20,226 feet(6,165 meters)about 1,000 feet lower than Advanced Base Camp on Everests NE Ridge. We hope this will give us a jump on our acclimazation allowing us to move up the mountain before the herds of other expeditions.
So, I guess that's all for now stay tuned for more in the near future.
